This is a unique opportunity to become the onsite expert in ergonomic chairs at your organization. Through our expert Chair Assessment training, you can become a Certified Chair Assessment Specialist (CASp) using our exclusive WI Chair Assessment System designed to help you inventory your ergonomic chairs for quality, competency and fit using our exclusive Chair Assessment Tool and Fitting System.

At the end of this workshop, you will

  • Improve the accuracy with which you measure employees for the correct task chair.
  • Identify the task chair which best fits an employee’s needs based on individual anthropometrics consistent with chair criteria (standards) and capabilities.
  • Recognize when a chair requires repair or replacement because it is unsafe or a poor fit for its user.
  • Manage ergonomic chairs using a systems approach for quality outcomes.
  • Have the opportunity to be certified as a Chair Assessment Specialist (CASp) using the Worksite International Chair Assessment System.

Training will cover:

  • Introduction to the Science of Sitting:
    - a - 5 Steps to setting up the seated office workstation
    - b - Understand the application of anthropometrics in the science of sitting
  • Ergonomic Chair Anatomy: Understanding all the “Bells and Whistles” for best fit
  • How to Select and Fit the Right Chair for your Client:
    - a - Understand employee work habits and preferences to select the best chair
    - b - Learn the 5 most critical measures to match your client to the best fitting chair
  • Identify when a chair needs to be repaired or replaced using the WI CAT form and CAS software
  • Balls and Headrests: Are they appropriate, helpful and necessary?
  • Standing at Work: Determine if standing is appropriate or necessary? Who should get an adjustable work surface?
